Frita Batidos Opens a Brooklyn Location

Eve Aronoff's Ann Arbor-born restaurant opened at 334 Kent Avenue in Williamsburg.

Frita Batidos opened at 334 Kent Avenue in Brooklyn on October 29, 2025. Eater New York reported the expansion, and Brooklyn neighborhood coverage published the specific opening date.

Chef and owner Eve Aronoff opened the original Frita Batidos on West Washington Street in Ann Arbor in 2010. The Brooklyn restaurant is the concept's first New York location.

The Concept

The current Brooklyn menu describes fritas as burgers inspired by the Cuban form, topped with shoestring fries and served on an egg bun. Chorizo, beef, chicken, fish, and black-bean versions are listed alongside batidos, plantains, rice and bean dishes, and sandwiches.

The Brooklyn opening is a meaningful expansion for an independent restaurant that began in Ann Arbor. Whether the New York location develops the same staying power is not something an opening-day article can establish.
